Dahab is known as the heart of Yoga in Egypt. Yoga found its natural home in Dahab when, not long ago, people from the hippie-movement travelled there looking for an alternative lifestyle. Today there are more and more yoga courses and classes offered as travellers and locals seek the natural spirituality and beauty that this wonderful area offers. Its central location, with the nearby Blue Hole and Canyon, both internationally famous freedive and scubadive spots, allows you to also enjoy land based activities such as camel, horse, jeep and quad bike trips. Mount Sinai is a two hours drive, with Saint Catherine's Monastery being a popular tourist destination.
Don’t miss your chance to get to know Dahab, the small authentic town on the Red Sea. Political Situation:Egypt has been through a series of political conflicts and revolutions in the past couple years. Conflicts were mainly concentrated on Cairo, Alexandria and the middle and upper Sinai. The touristic area in the South Sinai, such as Sharm el Sheikh and Dahab were not involved in these conflicts. |
